Aside from buying THE dress (which I did on Saturday), I have been a lazy lima bean when it comes to doing wedding stuff. Maybe I’m slacking because I feel like I came into this having done a lot of planning the first time around? Nevertheless, I had a minor freakout minute this morning while watching The Today Show and realized that yesterday was the 6 month mark to our wedding date.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

You’re already sent your invites, Miss Pearl? I thought you were supposed to do that about two months before the wedding.
I’m totally slacking. It’s not good. We’re getting married in just over four months, and we don’t have a DJ yet, haven’t picked the cake, don’t have an officiant, haven’t booked the honeymoon, haven’t looked for wedding bands… ARGH! Some of this is a money issue–we should have most of the rest of the wedding money next month and then can go crazy buying things.
What we have: Ceremony and reception location.
My gown, ordered.
Bridesmaids dresses, ordered, MOH dress, ordered.
Save-the-dates: sent out.
My tiara & shoes: chosen, not ordered.
Flowers: chosen, not ordered.
Invitations–chosen, mostly designed, not ordered. Same with other paper goods like programs and seating cards, they’ve been chosen, but not ordered yet.
Other decor like paper flowers for ceremony rows: chosen, not bought yet.
My fiance’s suit–he was waiting for new spring styles to come in, as he’s buying a new suit. Also he wanted to lose some weight. He’ll probably go in April for that, that’s enough time.
I’M a total slacker bride. 
I’m sure it will all come together, but I’m going to have a couple of very busy months.
Sorry, Miss Pearl–I got your post mixed up with Occicat’s! You didn’t send your invites yet. So, Occicat–are you having a destination wedding?

I have two because I don’t want the guests to see everything before the big day.
Slacking: catering. Because I cannot seem to get consistent contact from any of them. Save the dates. Invites, eventually.
Done: um, the venue, dress, photographer.
Don’t need to worry about right now: flowers, pies, bm dresses (wearing whatever they want).
Should think about soon: what the heck is Mr Mouse wearing?
Am I the only one not worried? Should I be?
Miss Pearl, my guests are getting a map of Hawaii, a guidebook on cheap eats, a DVD with some Travel Channel shows about Hawaii, mac nut cookies, kona coffee, and a local magazine. I had a lot of fun assembling them.
Pencils, yes I am having a DW in Hawaii so I sent my invites out early.

Slacking: ALL OF THE ABOVE?!
Well I did just get engaged about a month ago and we have not even booked our church. We’re actually waiting for them to get back to us to confirm. And we can’t do ANYTHING without our church booked! Holy moly…. Good thing I’m not a stressed person (usually)
