Dylan Prime in Tribeca was one of our first sit down dates. And although it closed down, Il Bocconcino in the West Village was where we got drunk off of a bottle or two of Pinot Grigio. It’s where Sofia Loren used to frequent when she was in town.

I wish we were that interesting that we had a “place.” And if we did, it’s certainly not that glamorous. I guess we spread the love a little and kind of have fun wherever we go??? We love The Harmon in Tacoma and frequent Subway. That is all.

Rancho San Antonio in Los Gatos, CA…it’s a hiking area that ranges from difficult hikes up the mountains to strolling around the farm. It’s where we walked around on our first date, where we spent time together while dating, and where, on the top of a mountain, he proposed!

Our special place is this lake near our university…It has a picnic area with swings, and I love swinging on them in the dead of night. He wanted to propose on the swing set, but there was a bunch of kids playing on them, so he took me by the spillway where we had a view of them and proposed there.

‘Ino is where my FI and I went on our first date!!!!!! It is our favorite place and we often go there on special occasions!!!! That is so much fun that we share the same special place Mrs. Bee!!!

Our special place is probably the family house where we’re getting married. The first time I took him up there, we were already very serious and had just moved in together, but our entire relationship had taken place in the city and his college town, with a brief visit to my hometown, and the first time I took him to our summer house and we just hung out and did normal summer things, it felt like a real permanent lifelong kind of thing. I can’t explain what I mean, just that it wasn’t transitory because it felt right the way he fit in with my family etc. Aaaand then he proposed there, and now we’re getting married there, so there’s lots of reinforcement.

hah, oooh chipotle. yummmmm…

Actually, if we have a special place it’s probably target. We’re dorks. We go there when we just want to hang out, and then we eat in the little cafeteria area.

Ours isn’t a place, but an event — the Shamrock Shuffle 8K race, which is held near St. Patrick’s Day each year in Chicago. We both love to run (him more than me) and have done lots of races together, but this was one that he ran with his buddy (my best friend’s now-husband) and it was the first time we ever ran together. We still sign up every year!

Cafeteria between 17th and 18th street on the westside in NYC. Love every single dish there, it’s trendy but comfortable. So many different people there, I even bumped into Eve while my former roommate was throwing up in the bathroom after we were clubbing at Centrofly.

anyway, so i took my fiance there for our first casual dinner (didn’t know it was really a date) and we had a great time getting to know each other. That’s when he said he knew that I was the one. That’s why he took me there for our 2nd Valentine’s day which I thought was weird because it’s not really a romantic place. Because the first anniversary he took me to a fancy French restaurant and then to the opera. So last year I was a bit disappointed until he told me the reason, and then I was so touched. That meant more to me than the French restaurant.
