we originally chose the cruise because I really don’t like to fly..but the more we think about it the more we enjoy the idea of getting to see a few places (although briefly) that we probably would never see, as well as the fun (and privacy) we can have on the boat. Eating is a hobby of mine, so I’ll get the cruise food, and the chance to sample some local cuisine on a few diffrent islands.

When I first traveled abroad to Italy, I KNEW I’d have to come back for my honeymoon! The thought has never left me, I knew Venice, Italy was “it”! I am totally not a bikini-beach person, I am a total city/sites girl. I mean, the beach is alright, but I can live without it. Honestly, walking around in a bikini is not really my idea of fun unless its purely for the sake of sunbathing with your girlfriends.

Venice, Italy is the MOST romantic place on the planet! I’m tellin ya… nothing else compares! =)

We picked Australia for two reasons, 1) my father offered his FF miles to us as a wedding gift for anywhere in the world so we went as far from home as we could, it ended up being 500,000 ff miles! and 2) we both travel a lot and Australia was one place neither of us had been. We did a little bit of everything, city sites in Sydney and Melbourne, beach at the Great Barrier Reef, countryside B&B on a ranch and the outback. It was a great time!

Kauai, Hawaii. Honestly because MIL and FIL just went there and were offering to help pay for our honeymoon and we knew there would be less arguments if we just went where they thought we should. But we are both really looking forward to it now (we are taking it for our one year anniversary) and they didn’t actually go to Kauai (they went to Maui, Oahu and the Big Island). We also figured that while we live in CA this would be the time to fly to Hawaii, not after we plan to move back to the east coast.

We’re staying a week in a cabin in the blue ridge mountains (southeastern US). It’s fairly inexpensive, and there’s rafting and horseback riding and a lot of other outdoorsy things.

We are going to Florence and Rome! :) I have been to both before, but I was 15 last time I was there, so I can’t wait to be able to really appreciate the beauty, culture, romance, and history of these two wonderful cities with my new husband. FI has never been outside of North America (Canada is the one place he’s been outside of the States), so it is going to be the perfect place for us to explore.

We are heading to Aruba because we have never been there, love the beach, and has had very few hurricanes (we are going in July).

I would have loved to go to Australia. But, the expense is too hight. So w’ere going to Hawaii, not bad :) FI didn’t want to go outside of US Territory, so that narrowed things down real quick.

My husband and I like to surf so he definitely wanted to go to Hawaii… even though it was probably not the best time in the year to go….. plus we had a lot of hookups so we saved lotsa $$$!
We also had a mini-trip to British Columbia to visit his relatives and it’s gorgeous there!!

We ended up going to Riviera Maya, Mexico for our honeymoon..we debated on this FOREVER, but decided that we needed a place where we could just relax and just be together not having to worry about touristy stuff..especially after all the stress wedding planning brings, so I’m very happy with our choice :)

We are both art majors (I am art history and he is studio arts)–I should say were–and we have never been to Italy so we are going to Venice, Florence, Rome and Milan (simply to see Davinci’s “Last Supper”) and then we are finishing our honey moon on the more laid- back, beachy Amalfi Coast. I CANNOT wait. Is it bad that I’m looking forward to the honeymoon more than the wedding ;)

we chose st. lucia. it sounds silly, but we really didn’t want to do anything. or feel the need to see everything and do everything. that’s why we decided against hawaii or paris which were our original plans. it was wonderful to just lay back and **be**

Costa Rica…. Osa Peninsula. Very eco-friendly and secluded. One part on the beach overlooking the Gulf in a “tree-house” set in a garden and the other part in the jungle overlooking the Pacific.

San Francisco & Napa Valley — We live in NYC so we love to get away by going to the West coast. I’m looking forward to the great food in SF and Napa.

Where’s Africa?
We’re going to Tanzania and Botswana for safaris, Capetown for some sightseeing and ending it in the Seychelles with some beach time.

Andrew has said he really wants to go to Hawaii, and I’ve wanted to go there, too, so I can’t complain. We’ve talked about having a DW there, and it’d be great if we could. If not, maybe St. Lucia. The Sandals down there look amazing. I want to RELAX on our honeymoon, get the spa treatment, and whatnot.

We’re not having children, so we’ll travel the world for the rest of our lives, so our honeymoon is all about relaxing. :)
