I Don’t Know Jack…

February 2nd, 2007 @ 12:40 pm by Mrs. Emerald

…About my rehearsal dinner. I don’t know where it’s gonna be. Or what time. Or who’s gonna be there (besides bridal party). Zip Zero Zilch Nada. But I do know what I want to wear!

I saw this fabulous Anne Klein dress on Macys.com and I can’t stop thinking about it. I luuuv the whole flowy Grecian Goddess look. And it’s white! Of course, considering my current physical state, it would not be particularly flattering on me… but come September, I will be working my hotness since I will be 15 pounds lighter (talk about wishful thinking, har har har). But Macy’s only has it in white, in a size 12. No fair!

Now, is it bad luck or anything to wear white for your rehearsal? I always thought it would be very fitting, no?

What are you wearing to your rehearsal dinner?

I’m all about wearing white to my rehersal dinner. You’re only the bride once! I got this really cute dress from J Crew, ON SALE for $35! YAY.

Jen, do you happen to have an item number for that dress? It’s so adorable!

I got this great dress from Anthropologie. It’s ivory and flowy and cute. I think it’s called the Lighthouse dress. I can wear it on my honeymoon, too. I’m wearing that, and my $40 Ferragamos!! :-)

i was thinking of doing white as well (actually it’s also a grecian-inspired dress) but decided to do that as my second dress for the reception.

instead, my rehearsal dress will be this golden number from bill levkoff: http://billlevkoff.com/collections/index.asp?dress=929

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with wearing white. I’m lusting after an ivory Diane VonFurstenburg dress for our rehearsal dinner!

Jen: I bought that same ivory dress with the black sash for our epics! it’s kind of hard to find the right lingerie to go with it though….

I almost bought that same exact dress for my rehearsal dinner! But Macy’s didn’t have my size available either. I ended up getting a similar ivory dress from BCBG (grecian styles are so beautiful). I think it’s very appropriate for us to wear white/ivory for the rehearsal dinner…after all, we are the brides! Seriously though, as long as it’s not similar to your wedding day gown, I think it’s perfectly fine.
