Waiting For the Numbers

February 2nd, 2007 @ 4:15 pm by Mrs. Orange

I haven’t done anything wedding related this week. Or has it been since the first fitting. Until the RSVP’s are all in (next Sat) and the hotel blocking is closed (next Fri), there’s not much to do. Favors, programs and menus will all be done after the RSVP deadline. OOT bags will be done after the last date for the hotel block. Mr. Orange and I will be running around the next three weeks for our final meeting with every vendor except for hair/makeup. So, now what?

Here’s a list of things to do still (besides those listed above)…but where is the motivation?

  • Buy pashimina wraps for the bridesmaid gifts
  • Research what fun activities are available in Key West
  • Reserve a rental car for HM
  • Figure out how to get 9 family members plus their luggage from JFK to Manhattan
  • Make an appointment for threading/waxing before the wedding
  • Ask a few people to do the readings (No clue who)
  • Go get rental tux set up for Mr. Orange, his GMs, my bride’s attendant and Papa Orange
  • Make a list of things to confirm with each of the vendors

Stay tuned — :)

Will your 9 family members be on the same flight. If so, then you should book a limousine from JFK to NYC.

I’m sure there are some other companies online as well.

If not a limo service (for expense purposes) you could always try a pick up service such as the ones that will pick up from your home and drop off to airport. A tacky 15 passenger van would get them all there with possible room to spare for luggage and may not be as expensive as a limo service, although it would be nice!

you can call the korean cab service (if you are korean) and request two big limos or even three minivans. the price is the same as a regular cab from JFK, which if you live in queens should be about 35-40 per car. after tip, its still cheaper than american cab service. the pashminas you should def order online.

my mom uses the pick up service that days is referring to. it is actually cheaper than a limo. i’ll ask my mom if she remembers the companies name and number.

update on the pick up service - my mom said the one she used through JAL is no longer in existence. it was a complimentary service that only japanese folks knew about but i guess since they didn’t make any money off of it, they stopped the service.
