I love unique jewelry, especially pieces which are made well and have a special charm about them. My favorite boutique in Los Angeles, Cake Jewelry, is always filled with items that I lust over. It’s one of my favorite gift-buying spots. Sadly, I never really indulge myself in much, since I’m extremely prone to losing and breaking jewelry. It might be one of the reasons that I’ve never seen myself wearing an engagement ring on my finger… since my luck would throw it off a bridge or into a vat of hot oil or something tragic like that.

But when I paid a visit to Cake’s website the other day, I saw these, and I swooned.

Blue and gold. Pretty and sparkly. And it’s designed for brides and maids! Just outrageously expensive.
Who knew that I’d end up dreaming of more than just my ideal dream dress… but shoes, earrings and veils too? Dear gosh.

DIY me wants to fiddle and make my own. Bargain me wants to wait for their next sample sale. And wedding-obsessed Miss Lemon wants to buy out the store for her maids, mom and FMIL. Let’s see who wins this battle!

Ohh, I LOVE those! I have been looking for “something blue” in the form of earrings.

But you’re right, those are way expensive. There are some along the same lines at http://www.turqjewelry.com, for much less money.

from what I can see in the pic, it wouldn’t be terribly hard to diy. it’s hard to see part of it, so it’s hard to say, but something really similar wouldn’t be too hard.
