Narrowing the Gap?

February 5th, 2007 @ 3:06 pm by Mrs. Lemon

A friend of a friend asked for advice on bridesmaid dresses, and I thought I’d petition my fellow bees for a solution!

Does anyone have any recommendations for a bridesmaid dress line that would carry flattering green dresses from size 0 to 24? She’s looking for everyone to have the same dress, and the David’s Bridal choices didn’t work out. Everyone is spread out over the country, so try-ons would be limited.

Thanks so much everyone!

Aria!

They can even ship dress samples to people to try on and ship back (or something to that effect)

I had a difficult time choosing my bridesmaid dresses. I ended up getting the Bill Levkoff style that is A-line and has a sash that goes around the middle, great for concealing. My girls range from an 8-22 and they all looked fab. http://www.billlevkoff.com Good luck

Alfred Angelo! I don’t think those are the same as the David’s Bridal stuff, but it’s a similar idea. They have separates, so there should be some style or combo that will flatter each one of her girls.

I second Bill Levkoff. The euro sage is beautiful and sizes go up to 28.

I had Dessy BM dresses in green that were beautiful and a pretty big range of sizes.

I second Alfred Angelo. We found a dress that was flattering on size 2 to 14.

I would suggest watters and watters. They have an array of color greens to choose from and sizes are really true!

I second Belsoie… I took my bridesmaids to RK Bridal to try on dresses and we found one we loved in under 2 hours - My BMs are all very different heights, body types, etc and we found a dress that looks beautiful and makes everyone feel comfortable. I am doing Espresso, but they seem to have a wide variety of fabrics and colors. Best of all, they are affordable!

I’d pay money to see one dress that could be flattering for women sizes 0 to 24. Good luck.

MoriLee! My sisters looked ravishing in their morilee dresses and they are sold lots of places. Available in sizes 0-28, they are affordable (around 130) and have lots of options of colors and styles.

I’d say go with Alfred Angelo. I’d say go with separates. You can get something that’ll flatter just about everyone.

My girls each chose a tea length Bill Levkoff in Euro sage (sizes 4 through 18). ot, we bought our dresses from Pearl’s Place for $106-$130ish. They didn’t try them on, so we’re hoping for the best.

Aria has a great variety of colors and fabrics to choose from! Two of my maids went with me to the Boston showroom, but they have a try-on program that the other maid will use. Awesome to be able to have a couple of dresses shipped to you! Honestly, I couldn’t have chosen three girls who are more different in shape (size 6 to size 22) and height (4′11″ to 6′), Aria is perfect for that!
