Call Me Slacker Bride

February 7th, 2007 @ 3:57 pm by Mrs. Emerald

Ugh, we are already 1/4 of the way through February (!!), and I just realized that I only completed half of the items on my January To-Do list.

Done:
- Order Bridesmaids dresses
- Work out consistently (I’m getting better, about 3 - 4 times a week)

Not Done:
- Officiant Questionaire (our officiant sent us this questionaire to “get to know us” better. It’s 90% done, maybe I should finish and send it tonight)
- Wording for invitation inserts: RSVP card/map/directions (I’m having a hard time deciding how detailed the directions should be… isn’t that what Mapquest is for?)
- Look into Pre-marital counseling (I was looking for a marriage prep class, or something similarly inexpensive, but have been unsuccessful)
- Lighting estimates (the guy hasn’t gotten back to me, and I feel bad bugging him since we still have 7 months)

Now these have been tacked on to February’s list, which already had 7 items. *sigh*

I create monthly goals, but what have you found to be the most effective way to stay on top of your things to do list?

I just signed up for this course:

http://www.stayhitched.com

I’m in NYC, but they have courses in Chicago as well.

The cost is $445 if you reserve 1 month in advance. I just checked and the next Chicago even is March 10th, so if you’re interested, you might want to hurry.

Otherwise the cost is $495.
