Valentines

February 7th, 2007 @ 3:33 pm by Mrs. Plum

In past years, I have boycotted Valentine’s Day - I never saw the point. It’s just some dumb holiday. But this year, it’s different. I suppose it’s because we’ll be getting married in less than 5 months!

So far, I have dinner, chocolate fondue, and a dirty coupon booklet as his present planned LOL (cheesy, but fun nonetheless! winky05 yes yes - TMI)

We had originally planned to celebrate this Saturday, February 10th, since Valentines falls on an inconvenient Wednesday. We’ll be setting up for a wedding on Saturday morning, leaving to go on our date, then coming back at 2 or 3 am to break down the event. Hopefully it’ll all work out. happy010

When and how are you and your S.O. celebrating Valentines? heart203

This is our third v-day together and we’ve always celebrated on the sunday before so we can spend the whole day together. I like it much better than going some crowded restaurant after work that we can’t afford.

We’re celebrating on the 10th, too, because FI is going to NBA All Star in Vegas. (Soo jealous! I wanted to go, too, but I couldnt get the time off) We normally celebrate on a Saturday since we can spend more time together. Then I spend the 14th with my girl friends for SAD (Single’s Awareness Day). :-P We started the tradition back when all my girls were single, but we still celebrate on v-day with a girls-only night. :-)

Normally I don’t think we’d care about doing anything to celebrate V-day, but because we’ve been under so much stress we’re going to treat ourselves to a nice dinner, although not on the actual day. And some chocolate covered strawberries from a local bakery!

My b/f and I are celebrating V-day with a non-chalant dinner at a hole in the wall Mexican place by my university. Hehe. I love that place and where I live now, there’s no good hole in the wall mexican place. However, on Sat. the 17th we will have our nice V-day dinner and we celebrate our 3.5 year anniversary! =o) YAY!

hehe oojoy - i used to celebrate SAD too w/my gf’s!

We made reservations at the nicest restaurant here in our small college town (it’s actually a pretty decent place, with a microbrewery and a menu that lists toward fresh Italian). I also got him a present and a big box o’ chocolates :-)

As of yet, nothing. We never go over the top. This is our 3rd Valentine’s Day together, but since we’re moving in together in April, we probably won’t end up doing anything. Or just stay in and snuggle in front of a movie, which is just as good! :)
