Off The Rack BM Dresses

February 8th, 2007 @ 8:30 am by Mrs. Plum

Question: If you are ordering your BM dresses off the rack, how soon should you purchase them? I found a cute one I like at Nordstrom and was wondering if it’s too soon? My wedding is in June. I know that if I were ordering dresses from the salon, now would be the right time.

Opinions, anyone?

If it’s from Nordstrom and something you like, I’d go ahead and purchase it now. Nordstrom has a very liberal return policy and you can bring it back at anytime. So there’s no problem with purchasing now and keeping it tucked away in your closet and still keeping an eye out in case there’s something better that comes along.

My 6 girls got theirs from Nordstroms and Jcrew and purchased them all back in Nov/Dec. They are wearing black and there were a ton of great black dresses out for the holidays. My 2 sisters ordered 6 and had no problems returning the ones they didn’t want. I say get ‘em.

I’d buy them now. You like the dress, it’s in, why wait?

my bridesmaids dresses were from nordstrom too! i ordered 3 petite sizes through nordstrom.com and i happened to find 3 regular sizes on ebay (NWT). i saved about $30 each on the ebay dresses. i bought my dresses for my BMs as early as i could. good luck!!

Buy them now. My sis found her BM dress, waited to purchase it and then we had to run around searching for it in the right size. Grab it while they are easily available.

Yeah, get them now. Just in case they’re not identical to the picture, or in case they go on sale you can return and repurchase them. Just make sure to keep them very well protected with all of the tags on until you are positive you’re not going any other direction. That way you won’t have problems if you decide to return them.

Get them now esp. if any of the girls are plus size of a size 2 and below. Those sizes always sell out the quickest.

might as well get them now when they have all the sizes in stock. there’s nothing more annoying than waiting and then going back to find they’re all sold out.

We got ours a couple months ago and the wedding is now 6 months away. They are from Target.com and exactly what we wanted. I ordered them early so that in case they didn’t fit, we could find something else.
