Paper Source has gone and done it again. They continue to exceed my growing expectations. With every season change, I am in complete awe of the things they make from paper, and this wedding season is no exception.
I went in the other day to get a couple of things, and this was right in the entrance…
That’s right… It is a wedding dress made completely from PAPER!
When I first walked in the door, I thought it was a couture dress borrowed from Hitched, a fabulous bridal salon, up the street, but no, they made it!
It is to celebrate their Paper Wedding event coming up on February 24. You can find out more by visiting the store in Georgetown or Alexandria - which you should do anyway to see this dress!
I love how they’ve roped it off without anything on the floor. I’m assuming the ribbon is hung from the ceiling like the parasols. I wonder if my PaperSource is having an event…

Beautiful! I agree that the ‘floating’ ribbon is pretty cool in it’s own regard….go fishing line!
I saw the display this weekend. They used various white papers, which add to the texture and depth in person. On the lower back, the selected a delicate lace-like paper. It is beautiful!

I actually saw this done before on a Korean TV show. This lady who owns a gift wrapping/paper specialty shop made a wedding dress out of paper in less than 24 hours and it was just gorgeous. And believe it or not, a model was able to wear the dress.

Isn’t our Georgetown store staff amazing! This has got to be one of the most beautiful dresses ever created for one of our Paper Wedding events and it was done in so little time as well!
As my employee, Michelle noted above, we are having our Paper Wedding event at 10 of our 20 locations this year. Our Georgetown, KC, Lincoln Park, San Francisco Marina and South Coast Plaza (Costa Mesa, CA) stores will be having their events on Saturday, February 24th and the other 5 stores: Boston, Bellevue, Evanston, Minneapolis and Pasadena are all having their events the following Saturday, March 3rd.
On both days, the doors will open at 10am and demos start at 11am and last until 4pm. So come by for fabulous demos, great ideas, yummy treats and fun raffle prizes! We look forward to seeing you there!
