I thought for sure once the wedding was over, so would my wedding tasks. Oh, but no… they seem to never end!
After the big day was over and the honeymoon ended, I had a wedding list a mile long! First, were the thank yous. Check. Then, it was the preserving of the dress and veil. Check. Next, it’s the bridal albums - selecting pics, designing it and deciding on **which** album (type and color). I’ve also got to choose which e-pics, bridal pics and/or wedding pics I’d like to have printed and how big. And then decide on the framing. I designed and printed 2 mother’s albums, but I have one more on the way for my aunt and I haven’t even begun that one. Add to that my knot bio that I need to update. And I’m sure I’m forgetting a few things.
Anyone else feel a bit overwhelmed with wedding stuff after the wedding?
yup…our wedding was 8 months ago but my husband tells everyone that our wedding still hasnt finished =)
I hear you, Mrs. Bird Of Paradise. I write this as I’m slogging my way through thank-you notes…and we got married 10/22/06! I’m nowhere near as far along as you are. It’s funny, I had momentum right after the wedding, but it tapered off during the holidays and all. Nevertheless I’m trying my darndest to stay focussed and get everything tied up before it becomes one of those things you just never do. Keep at it. You are not alone.

nopushover: after the honeymoon there was xmas. then we went straight into house hunting, then buying and building. so i hear you on the momentum fading! it’s probably that i’ve got so much stuff goin on 
We’ll be married 2 years in May, we have YET to pick out pictures for our wedding albums. My photographer keeps reminding me to go see him. =P
Yes! We’ve been married for almost a month now, and we’re still spending so much time on the wedding, like writing thank you notes, making DVDs of the wedding video, and sorting through all the photos are friends are sending us. I wish Martha Stewart had a helpful checklist for the three months after the wedding!
Yes! There’s still so much to do. I haven’t even gotten our marriage certificate yet. (The process takes a few weeks in Jamaica.. we keep bothering our coordinator to check on it) And then I have to get my name changed, and then report the name change for my passport, driver’s license, banks, credit cards, schools, bills, etc. etc. etc. Yikes!
oh, i hadn’t even thought to mention name change!! since we are building a house, i am going to get that changed closer to when we move in so that i don’t have do change it again for the address. then it’s banks, insurance, etc. goodness…

yes! planning my wedding was a joy…i was hardly stressed at all. it was a great experience. now…it’s all tedious “work.” maybe because there is nothing major to look forward to? it’s depressing. 
um yeah i know exactly what you’re talking about! the good news is that there is no deadline for getting post-wedding tasks done!! also, i hurt my back during our honeymoon and even spent two nights in the hospital. i managed to get back home, but my apartment is in a shambles, i have tons of unedited pictures to sift through, long lists of thank you notes and am only 60% focused at the moment thanks to the pain meds!! 
thank goodness i don’t have to work just yet!! nor do i have to change my last name!
i do want to build a knot bio now as a huge favor to all the great vendors who helped me out at my own wedding. does that seem silly? to start up a knot bio after the wedding already occurred? i just think they’re great vendors and they are new in the industry in hawaii…
