At first, I wanted a band with diamonds on it, like my engagement ring. Then, after seeing some friends’ heirloom wedding bands - plain with just the engraving inside, I decided that I wanted a plain engraved band.
After many months of assuming I was going to get a plain white gold band, I’ve decided on something else - I need some kind of decoration. While I do love the hand carved bands with flowers or leaves worked into the ring, I’m thinking of something a little more plain.
So, I’ve decided to go with a plain band, with subtle milgraining, preferably in a 2.5mm or 3mm. I’ve since found this band from Wedding Bands Fast.

Now I can get something engraved in it, that Mr. Kiwi and I have finally decided on. One of our things is “You know how much I love you?” to which the other person says, “More than everything.” Since I can’t fit that whole phrase into our wedding bands, we’re just going to get “More than everything” and the date. Unfortunately, my wedding band can only fit 25 letters and spaces, and our phrase is about 3 letters off when I include the date. And I am so not using “Mo’ than…”
Instead of having the date in both of ours, I figured we could do “More than everything A&P” in mine, and the whole shebang in his. Does this make sense? Can you guys find another way around this? We considered nerding it up and using > (more than) instead of the words, but I don’t like that look.
