About Mrs. Raspberry

After the change in passport regulations in the new year, Mr. Raspberry and I realized that we should make sure our guests know they will need their passport for our wedding if they plan on visiting Niagara Falls while they are here. We decided the best way to make sure everyone knew would be to send a postcard, as we also wanted to remind them to book their hotel rooms.

Hence our Valentine postcard, which everyone should have received by now. I used pictures of our pups, Gewurz and Stella, both wearing my Halloween veil for the front of the card.

Did you remember/learn something new that you had to inform your guests of once you had already sent the save-the-dates? How did you send out the information?

They are adorable, but don’t discourage people from crossing the border if they don’t have a passport as the new regulations are only for travel by air. A passport will certainly help, but isn’t necessary if driving.

From the State Department Website:
New Requirements for Travelers Between the United States and Canada: Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI)

Effective January 23, 2007, all U.S. citizens traveling by air to and from Canada are required to have a valid passport to enter the United States. As early as January 1, 2008, U.S. citizens traveling between the United States and Canada by land or sea (including ferries), may be required to present a valid U.S. passport or other documents as determined by the Department of Homeland Security. Ample advance notice will be provided to enable the public to obtain passports or passport cards for land/sea entries. American citizen travelers are encouraged to apply for a U.S. passport or the passport card when it becomes available, well in advance of anticipated travel. American citizens can visit travel.state.gov or call 1-877-4USA-PPT (1-877-487-2778) for information on applying for a passport.

I love dogs, any kind of breeds. The postcard is great, with the photo cover of your dogs.. Nice to look at…

I think passports are mandated by the law if you will travel to other places..

For me, it’s okay if passport is not necessary on traveling so that there will no hustle.

Thanks!!!
