I am currently sitting in front of Mr. Blueberry’s computer in ripped jeans (chasing preschoolers around all day tends to destroy jeans), a flour-covered t-shirt and…Spanx.
I ordered the Higher Power, in a size A, and here’s what I have to say:
The good:
~They do nip in my waist a bit.
~They do smooth my stomach, when I’m standing up.
The bad:
~When I sit down, they create a stomach roll that most definitely does *not* exist sans Spanx!
~The leg openings create a seamy line that’s visible even through my jeans (of course, I do have flabby legs)
~They come nowhere near the bottom of my boobs. Stretched to the max, they go just above my waist.
~They do smooth my butt, but don’t hide cellulite or VPL–and they seem to significantly reduce the size of my ghetto booty–aka one of my favorite assets.
~That crotch opening is weird.
So am I impressed? Meh. I don’t really see what all you girls are going on about…I sort of feel like I paid $34 for something that doesn’t do much more than a good pair of regular control-top hose. But I’m not having trouble breathing, or feeling like my legs are numb, or anything like that. And maybe they wouldn’t create a tummy roll if I were more toned…but I still feel like these were a big waste of money. Bah.
I’ll take them on a real test-drive tonight when Mr. Blueberry and I go out for dinner, but as of right now I’m not that happy.
