That is the last place I’d want to be. I don’t wish that drive on anyone, not even my arch-nemeses. I braved it yesterday, though, and it was well worth it for cake tasting adventure #1.
So much for my “eating healthier until the wedding so that I hopefully engrain a healther lifestyle in my food-loving head and don’t gain post-wedding pounds” diet. I ate 13 of these suckers. Yes, 13. OK, maybe I left a few bites of my least favorite flavors. But they’re mini cupcakes. I was so excited to dive in that I forgot to take a picture until after I inhaled the first one.

It’s hard to tell from the photo, but the decorations on these dulce de leche cupcakes are in my colors!
The cupcake “decorations” and cake designs are perfect for the more modern, whimsical, or casual couple. In other words, Miss and Mr. Lime. The cake is pretty moist, depending on the flavor, the buttercream frosting is lovely and frothy. Leda’s frosting is to Sprinkles’ frosting as frappes are to shakes.
I’ll be emailing Ledette for a specific quote, but she has general prices listed on her website. The cupcake prices remain the same. Wedding cakes are more than cupcakes and the general cake prices she has listed (I think), but within the average for Los Angeles area bakeries. She also rents out the platters needed for a cupcake tower for a small fee, and she’s got some good ones. Check out her website for cake images and more eye candy (or should i say eye cake?).
