“Branding” Our Wedding

February 20th, 2007 @ 2:55 pm by Mrs. Emerald

I asked my invitation designer, Sarah of Truly Smitten, to come up with a monogram that we can use throughout our wedding. She came up with this, which I absolutely love, love, love! (The image quality is rather low)

The same flourish is also used in our actual invitation design, so I was happy to see it incorporated into our monogram. Then I asked her to add in the first letter of Mr. E’s last name, since most of the monograms I see are 3 letter ones.

But I think I’ll stick with design #1. I think the “S” kinda disturbs the flow of the “CB,” hehe.

I can’t wait to get a custom stamp made at Impress stamps! I’d also love to get one of those custom embossers made with Wilshire Graphics. However, the rectangular style embosser has a limitation of of 0.75″ x 1.75″. That’s really small, so some of the detail might be lost… what do you think?

I actually like the 3-letter monogram better…but that’s just me. I think the detail will still show up in that size though.

3 letters! It adds balance. I’m actually doing the same thing with the girl who did my std’s! I love the whole cohesive look too! :)

I vote for the 2 letters. It has more balance. And I don’t like that the middle letter stands out.

The design looks beautiful though. You really can’t go wrong either way. Very classy.
