Banana Republic Bridesmaids

February 22nd, 2007 @ 2:34 pm by Mrs. Bee

Buying bridesmaids dresses off the rack is a great idea because the dresses are more likely to be worn again, and you don’t have to wait the 3 months it typically takes to order bridesmaids dresses.

I was surfing Banana Republic and came across this silk pleated dress ($168) that’d be so pretty as a bridesmaid dress. It’s light, flowy, and perfect for a spring or summer wedding. Of course if your colors happen to include pale blue. ;)

I saw this dress yesterday in the store and thought the same thing!

This dress is very thin though… which would work for some but not many body types. It’s a pretty blue though!

It’s a similar style to my bridesmaid dresses (almost went with chiffon, but stuck with smooth silk instead). We just ordered them yesterday - I hope our experience is a positive one; so far so good!

Oops, I meant to say ours are from J Crew, which has a great selection of bridesmaid dresses like this.

I always thought off the rack dresses were so much prettier than tradtional BM dresses but then my BM brought up a good point- what if a guest comes to the wedding wearing the SAME dress as the BMs? Has anyone else ever worried about this or are we just being paranoid?
