Vera Wang At Smart Bargains

February 23rd, 2007 @ 12:47 pm by Mrs. Emerald

For anyone still in the market for bridesmaids dresses, Smartbargains carries a surprising number of Vera Wang gowns, all with a $199 pricetag! Most are originally $598. Of course there are a few downsides… colors, sizes and quantities are limited (get ‘em while they’re hot!). But this would be a great option for those of you A) with small bridal parties B) open with your color scheme, or C) if you are looking for gown for yourself! Smartbargains also has a large selection of other great low price dresses so it’s worth a peek.

I was really tempted to buy this last silver dress. Oftentimes in Chinese weddings, the bride goes through multiple outfit changes, one of which is an evening gown/ballgown. But I decided to save my money (Mr.E would be proud) and forgo tradition by wearing my wedding gown all night… mainly cuz I love it so much, and will never get to wear it again. Although I may have to change into a traditional chi-pao at some point, but that is TBD.

Are you changing dresses, cultural or otherwise, during your wedding?

what a great deal! Does anyone know how sizing works? Is it bridal size or street size? For me, bridal size 10 and street size 2 so it makes a big difference!

a - Hrmm, I can’t seem to find an actual Vera Wang sizing chart, but I would definitely buy a size or two larger than usual. It can always be taken in!

I’m definitely doing the whole changing of the outfits (viet tradional dress)… though i’m debating about the evening gown.. depends on how much i’m able to save on the first two dresses.
