Oscar Hair Inspiration

February 26th, 2007 @ 5:59 pm by Mrs. Bee

I think Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Lopez both looked stunning at last night’s Oscar ceremony - their hair, makeup and dress were all perfect! Check out more of Hollywood’s loveliest leading ladies below for wedding hair and makeup inspiration.

I think overall all the nominees looked great this year. I am always looking forward to see what Nicole Kidman is wearing. She usually wears something very chic and understated. Although I’m not a Marchesa fan, I think J.Lo looked great in that dress. The worst dressed was a tie between Eddie Murphy’s wife and Kirsten Dunst. What were they thinking! I didn’t like Beyonce’s dress either.

I totally agree! I also loved Beyonce hair and makeup. I didnt like the dress but from the neck up she was flawless!

I  Reese (love the name, too!) and I thought she looked great at the Golden Globes as well–the yellow dress with red shoes…and I am somewhat surprised she did the down and dirty (ha ha) thing for both events. Oh well, I guess it’s difficult when you ALWAYS LOOK STUNNING. ;-)

Anyone else feel she’s going over to the dark side with the weight loss?

Penelope Cruz’s dress was amazing, and I love Reese’s too (I just went to look at a slide show). :-) Although, I can’t tell if RW’s is purple or blue and I am waaaaay more partial to blue. Loved Kate Winslet’s classy get-up…loved maggie Gyllenhaal’s art deco/throw back dress. Just saw Melissa Ethridge’s growing hair and I think she had a cute little edge-y cut/style.

Gosh, everyone’s a critic, huh? ;-) And I have always watched the awards for the dresses–not just now because I’m a bride. :-)

Nearly all their hair looked similar.. the loose chignon with waves. They do all look stunning though!

You know how the Oscar dresses come out and then weeks later there are people doing cheap knock-offs? I wonder if there is a business out there that can take the Oscar dress style and turn it into a wedding dress. There were so many great styles I couldn’t help but think that many of them would be FAB wedding dresses if only they were in the right color. I’m sure a very good and professional dress maker could do it but it would probably be super expensive.
