Rolling Pin Cookies

February 27th, 2007 @ 1:00 pm by Mrs. Raspberry

I written several posts about food lately, but I can’t help it! I’ve been doing a great job with staying fit and eating healthy… I think looking at pics of food online has satisfied my cravings for treats. :)

I came across Rolling Pin Productions this morning, and they have the cutest cookies.

They are a little pricey if you’re looking to totally customize something, but if you’re looking for something a little simpler, they are great.

Here is their traditional wedding cake cookie. It’s $7.50 with the monogram and $7.25 without.

Their Rose Monogram Wedding Cake is $5.50 with the roses and $4.75 without.

They also make photo cookies. These 2.5″x3″ rectangle cookies are $4.25.

Rolling Pin Productions has tons of other designs also.

I am thinking about making some really cute cookies to send to my bridesmaids with their newsletter.

Have you surprised your bridesmaids with any little treats to reward their hard work during the wedding planning process?

that photo cookie was made for a play called sides. if it’s ever in your town, you gotta watch it! it’s one of the best shows I’ve ever seen! :D

I asked my bridesmaids by sending them wedding-themed cookies which I made and decorated myself (diamond ring, bridesmaid dress, heart with the date of the wedding iced in the center, and a wedding cake). I would like to point out that unless you are a professional baker, your cookies will come out looking NOTHING like those above despite hours of icing attempts… but they are still cute, none-the-less. My advice would be to do all your base color icing with royal icing (just be sure to use meringue powder instead of raw egg) and spread it out with a knife, let it dry for at least 6 hours, and then use a top-quality icing piping bag to do the decorations.
