I’m not good with surprises. At all. When I was little, I used to unwrap my christmas presents and wrap them back up and put them under the tree. I’ve been known to steam open letters I wasn’t supposed to open until my birthday. It’s wretched. I realize. I just can’t help myself. I won’t tell you what I did with my engagement ring….it’s too shameful.
My wedding band has been sitting in my dresser drawer for months now. Taunting me. So I tried it on. Just for a second. Just to see how it looked. Jus to see how it feels. It looked good…
So I kept it on a little longer. Just a minute or so. Somehow….that minute has turned into 2 days. I feel mildly guilty. Mr. Strawberry has been gone for two weeks on business….so no one knows but me. And, now you. I’m going to straight to hell. I know. Anyone want to car-pool?

when my engagement ring arrived, because we had it sent to my office to make sure we received it - i didn’t put it on. except… when i was home alone, i’d wear it and admire it until fiance got home… then i’d scurry to put it back into its box.
don’t feel bad. you’re not the only one.
LOL, I’ll carpool with you… I wore mine the day we got it from the jeweler (with permission from FI) and I have it with me and I wear it to sleep sometimes *shhh* I actually forgot I was wearing it last week and went to work with it… wooops!

Everytime someone new comes over, I have to show them. And try it on for them, obviously. And then wear it to get used to it…. Probably the only reason I resist wearing it everyday is that FI and I live together. And he would notice. And care.

good things come to those who wait! (that’s b/ci have no choice…the only reason i’m not wearing mine is b/c FI has it locked in his safe in his parent’s home. he knows me better…hehe
Haha, that kills me! i would have the hardest time not trying it on every 10 minutes!

My FI bought my engagement ring the night before he proposed and literally sat right next to the bag it was hidden in until I left for work the next morning because he knew I’d snoop. He knows me all too well.
i’ve put mine on a time or two;) since we brought them home from the store.
Whew I am glad someone posted this. My wedding band came in last week and I have been wearing it around the house for a few minutes here and there. I just wanted to see how it looks in different environments of course,!!! the living room, bedroom light, kitchen… well I better go try it on today too… gotta go!
I’m in on the carpooling.. I’m the same way. It drives my fiance nuts, especially during Christmas. I couldn’t even wait for him to pop the question the day I knew he was going to do it.
I wear mine in the house all the time too! I LOVe that Im not the only one!

Oh no! My custom-designed wedding band was a surprise, and I didn’t see it until he gave it to me with his VOW at the altar. I wouldn’t trade anything for that memory and story! The week before he tried it on my finger with me not looking, just to make sure it fit. Patience, ladies!!! You will be wearing it 24/7 soon enough!
Fiance’s mom proposed to me before he did.. I have a “vintage” ring that was his Nana’s. She gave it to him and said I’m sick of holding onto this. He only has one spot that is a designated “I can’t lose this” spot- top drawer. He goes away on business alot. I wore it.. first around the apartment.. and I admit it.. I showed my sister before he proposed! But it never left the apartment.
