About Mrs. Strawberry

Damn! Damn It All!!!

March 6th, 2007 @ 7:38 pm by Mrs. Strawberry

Found this on etsy a while back and didn’t buy one. I should have, because they are sold out. I’m kicking myself. How fun is a paper chandelier!? I know! These would be soooo cool at a wedding. I should have followed my instincts and shopped with utter abandon!

You can probably contact the etsy seller and ask him/her to make more for you; I think most sellers would be open to that.

Also, for the link Mrs. Beetle gave, I would recommend not cutting the second piece in half, but rather cutting completmentary slits in both pieces. This will make the end result more stable.

:)

Aww shucks :)

Also, I didn’t have time to go deep in my google search, but you also might want to try doing a search for trade show materials. Last year at the stationery show, one of the booths featured a paper fireplace, table, chandelier, etc. No clue where they got the stuff, but perhaps you could source it that way. Good luck!

Miss Strawberry… I have a question. What do you plan to do with all these items once the wedding is over? I notice that you tend to pick up alot of random stuff that go with the theme of your wedding. Don’t get me wrong cuz I think these items are very cute! But the practical side of me wonders… what to do with all this random stuff afterwards???

That is a very good question Jennifer. A very good question indeed. I will be selling a lot of items on ebay and craigslist. But a lot of stuff…I’ll keep. I have a shabby chic guest bedroom that I’ll put stuff like my birdcage and fun jars. My house is decorated right now with random lanterns and stuff. It actually looks good! (I promise…I have taste!) :)

AND on a side note….I don’t often use a lot of stuff I post about. If I think it’s cute…I’ll post it..but I won’t necessarily use it.

You can totally make this! Make a variety of styles and colors! Hang dingle-dangles off them, have a ball!
