What a better way to be initiated into weddingbee than by meeting a bee. Knowing I was going to San Francisco for a few days, I hunted Miss Plumeria down. Miss & Mr. Plumeria, Mr. Snow Pea and I met up at the SFMOMA. We both planned on seeing the Picasso exhibit, so it worked out perfectly. Miss Plumeria is incredibly sweet.

Mr. Plumeria and Mr. Snow Pea got along so well that we were a little weirded out by it. They kept suggesting names for Mrs. Bee’s possible new sister sites to wedding bee. They would mischieviously stop talking to listen to our conversations about what “sort” of juicy things we girls chat about on wedding bee.
Afterwards we headed over to Beard Papa, where Miss Plumera introduced me to the most heavenly of treats. These delicious cream puffs filled with either Vanilla (Miss Plumeria’s favorite), Chocolate (Mr. Snow Pea’s favorite) or Tea Milk (my favorite) filled cream, which was also the specialty flavor of the week.

We chatted away while ooh-ing and ahh-ing over the video on how their cream puffs are made. The pasty is really light and soft. The filling is made of a combination of cream and custard, which is why they are so yummy. I should really let Miss Plumeria talk about them because it’s her favorite and in her neck of the woods.
There are several locations in NYC and one in NJ as well. I’ll have to go test them out to see if they taste just as yummy. That’s my excuse anyway and I am stickin’ to it.

ooh beard papa. i’ve always wanted to go but the lines at the sf center is always way too long for me to even think about standing in them.
We are using these (specifically Beard Papa cream puffs) instead of wedding cake/cupcakes but displaying them similarly to cupcake displays.. the stands are a DIY project yet to come. 
Amnesia-That’s great! I’d love to see that. Post some “eye puffs” when you can!

I am seriously considering using Beard Papa cream puffs instead of cake! (Well, Beard Papa + cannolis from Ferrara) I, too, am cream puff obsessed. I will keep an eye out for Amnesia’s stands :-).

I must say, Mr. Plumeria is thee sweetest fiance I have ever met (aside from Mr. Snow Pea). It takes a real man to hold a Sephora bag.
Those cream puffs look drool worthy… but not a single shop in the midwest =( *tear*
Darn it. I keep finding cool things in LA area *after* I’ve moved to WA. I’m loving the PNW, but man oh man how I love cream puffs. Their website shows a new store opened in Arcadia and I lived in Pasadena. Maybe I’ll get my sister to bring some for me when she visits. Hehe.
For donut fans, I found this cool fancy schmancy gourmet donut shop in….where else? Beverly Hills, CA. http://www.fritelli.com. That would also make nice favors. I know lots of people love Krispy Kremes but they are entirely overrated imo. I don’t like Krispy Kreme at all.
I LOVE Beard Papa’s. The cheesecake sticks are so so but the cream puffs are delish. Has anyone tried their Mango Ice Shower?

btw..miss plumeria - your invites are beautiful! did you decide what you’re going to do with your eyelashes? i really liked the japonesque ones..and i actually saw a link to that entry on another wedding website..the brides over there loved your post!
kp — hmm funny you should bring up the eyelashes, ’cause Mr. Plumeria is carrying some brand spankin’ new mascara in that little bag in the above photo… Yeah, I haven’t decided yet. I should do a follow up post on that too. Thanks!
