About Mrs. Emerald

I have been on a total online wedding-related buying spree this week!! Here’s a recap…

It was important to me to get my sister a special Maid of Honor gift. At 16, she is 11 years younger than the rest of my bridesmaids, so I wanted to find her something cute, age appropriate, and something that she’ll love. She has been obsessed with finding a star necklace for a while now, so when I found this on SparklesForever, I knew it was perfect for her! P.S., this site is great if you are looking for some wedding day *bling*! They do great reproductions of celeb jewelry.

Next, I ordered 5 pairs of gold flip flops for my bridesmaids from Old Navy at $2.50 a pop so they could toss off their heels and have some real fun at the reception. I contemplated getting the cuter patterned ones for $4.50 each, but ultimately decided that my girls could care less what the flipflops look like, as long as their feet don’t hurt!

Then we have 300 yards of 3/8 and 1/2 inch satin ribbon in Brown and Scarlett, from JKM Ribbon. I just really hope they are the right shades… These will be used on everything from invites to programs to favors.

Next I placed an order with Impress to turn my monogram into a custom stamp. Fun fun! I also ordered another custom stamp with my address to use for our invitation envelopes! You just email or snailmail them your image, and 10 days later, *poof* it’s in your hot little hands!

Today’s order was twofold. The first was 100 feet of pistachio colored wrapping paper from Papermart to use as envelope liners.

And now I just placed an order for two packs of 12″ x 12″ vellum from Paperandmore to make my invitation enclosures.

PHEW!! Man, all these “small” orders really add up! My credit cards are getting a good workout this week. Too bad hiding them wouldn’t stop me cuz I’ve got the numbers memorized, muahaha! winky

I’m also gearing up to place two large orders of $200+ each, one for printing my invitations with Overnight Prints, and another for envelopes, cardstock, etc. for the rest of my DIY projects (menus, programs, table numbers etc.) from Envelopemall. Hrmm, perhaps I will give my CC’s a rest and order all of these next week. Considering that these are considerably more pricey, I am hesistating just a bit, to make sure I order the right amount of everything…

I ordered ribbon from JKM ribbon for the same purposes. That stuff lasts forever! As long as you get the right colors, it’s a great deal to buy in bulk from them.

How did you set up your invitations to be printed at overnight printing? How much did they charge? I need to get somethings printed on the quick.
Thanks
