We have a jumbo mini-dachshund (seriously, he's huuuuge), and we're planning an autumn themed wedding on a shoestring, paid for by ourselves. The wedding date is my late grandma's birthday, I needed her there somehow, and that seemed like the best way for us. I can't believe I'm a Bee! I couldn't be more proud!

Sticker Help

March 9th, 2007 @ 4:57 pm by Mrs. Kiwi

Hey guys, I’m online designing my monogram sticker and realized I have a teeny decision to make. Here’s the deal: I am using a monogram my friend designed for me on my favors. That part is cool.

My favors look like this:

The favor comes with the little sticker tag, but we’re not going to use that. Instead, we’re going to have stickers made, and use them to stick the ribbon down. Like the picture, but with thinner ribbon with sayings on them.

My problem is that the backing of the sticker will be white. And a white on ivory box would look weird, in my opinion. There is also the option of the sticker having a translucent backing, in which case it would match the box, but all the ribbon beneath it would show, and that seems kinda crappy.

Here’s a version of my sticker, being made on Zazzle.com (20, 1 1/2″ stickers per sheet, or 6, 3″ stickers per sheet).

So what should I do? Use stickers with a white backing, or translucent?

White sounds better than translucent to me.

I agree w/ Tessa. I would go with with the white because I doubt anyone would notice the color difference. =)

white so you can hide the ends of the ribbon. can you change the color of the ribbon?

I’d say white as well. This is something ONLY a bride would notice.

Why don’t you add a background color to your monogram? it looks as if Zazzle will print full bleed, so if you have a background color of ivory on the file that you upload, then the “background” color of your sticker will change from white to ivory.

I am gonna jump on the band wagon and say go with white, totally not a big deal. but, I am so curious about what you decided to go with for ribbon writing. I did go with Love Grows 9.22.07 and i’m impatiently awaiting the arrival of this expensive must have!

Yeah, I think I’m going with white. Graciette, I think the background on m monogram IS white! Craaap.

Kattail, my initial unsuredness has led me to order three different colors with three different sayings! 1) Love is Sweet! Kiwi & Mr. Kiwi 11.3.2007 and 2.) Kiwi & Mr.Kiwi est. 11.3.2007 and 3.) A Gift from Kiwi & Mr.Kiwi 11.3.2007
