Designer Spotlight: Natalie Anne

March 12th, 2007 @ 2:53 pm by Mrs. Bee

I saw this brocade dress by Natalie Anne featured in the most recent issue of Lucky Magazine, and thought what a lovely rehearsal dinner dress it would make. Though I consider myself a tomboy, I still love all things feminine and ladylike; especially pretty details like bows and lace.

I checked out her spring 2007 collection and loved her use of bold prints (great to wear to a tropical wedding), as well as the pieces that’d work as unconventional, destination wedding, or reception dresses.

Are you wearing an “unconventional” wedding dress or changing into a more casual reception dress?

Ohhh I like that turtle neck one with the 3/4″ sleeves.

I am changing into a slinkier sexy satin chiffon reception dress.

I love the last group of dresses with the Mexican lace.

Boo I can’t view the site even after installing flash. Can someone tell me how much that turtleneck dress costs?

Mrs. Bee says:

she doesn’t have prices listed on her site, but the first dress is $258 to give you an idea of what her dresses run for.

I loooove the turtleneck style… I used to have this 1969 issue of Bazaar or Vogue that had a dress with similar stylings that I droooled over (but with poofier sleeves).

I’m (hopefully) changing into a red dress– I always wanted to get married in a red dress, but then abandoned that idea during the planning process… it’s crept into my reception. I am having the dress made, in a 50s style like my wedding dress (tea length with full skirt) in a red crane print fabric with white contrast trim.
