Beehive

March 13th, 2007 @ 4:47 pm by Beehive

In today’s hive:

  1. Kendra is using Crane Lettra paper for her invites which is specifically designed for letterpress. She’s hand addressing the envelopes, but has no idea what type of pen to use. Suggestions for something that doesn’t bleed?
  2. Katie is getting the stationery bug. Can someone help decipher terms like A6, A7, A8 of know of a website with a chart of what invite goes with what envelope?
  3. ciaobella is looking for places to buy MOB dresses in NYC other then Kleinfeld.
  4. pandakim is looking for a bilungual (english/korean) dj for her Queens wedding.

Katie: I know http://www.paper-source.com has a PDF size chart that you can download. I am not sure exactly where it is… probably a link on the envelopes/cards section.

Katie–if you go to http://paper-source.com/cgi-bin/paper/envelopes/flatcards.html
and click on the size you’re looking at, then you can see what the dimensions for that size are–it should be standard industry-wide (ie not just at Paper-source). There’s probably an easier way to do this, but that’s what worked for me!

ciaobella, here are some ideas: http://www.weddingbee.com/2007/01/02/open-question-stepmother-of-the-bride-dress/

i’d definitely try the department stores like bloomies, lord & taylor, and saks. they’ll be your best bet. you might also want to check out rkbridal, ann taylor, j crew…

hope that helps!

I want to do my own slideshow for the rehearsal dinner with photos and music. Any good websites to recommend? I saw one with software for $99, but it seemed a bit pricey. Thanks!

Help! One of my bridesmaids needs to wear a more modest dress (must have at least “cap” sleeves) for religious reasons, and I can’t find a good option ANYWHERE! (at least one that isn’t completely matronly). Why are so many bridesmaid dresses strapless/sleeveless? Does anyone know where I can find a cute BM dress with sleeves????
