Dippin Dots

March 13th, 2007 @ 3:37 pm by Mrs. Bee

Daily Candy featured Dippin Dots today, because they’re now available online! If you haven’t tried dippin dots yet, you’re missing out - not only do they taste great, they’re also super fun to eat! Your guests - young and old - will love these tasty ice cream treats. :-)

Each ice cream dot has its own flavor, so you can really taste the banana split or cookies & cream (two of my favorites) melt in your mouth. These cryogenically frozen treats are available in ice cream, flavored ice, yogurt, sherbert, and sugar-free options. 90 servings for $195.00.

Nostalgic or fun foods, like dippin dots, are a huge trend in weddings now. Mrs. Ladybug had a bubble tea bar at her wedding, and Mrs. Daisy served White Castle burgers during her cocktail hour. Are you going to be serving any fun or different foods?

dippin dots are so good..didn’t know they had ice & yogurt-flavored ones…

i loved how mrs. daisy had white castle burgers for mr. daisy @ the reception. yuM! i wouldn’t mind doing that at our reception as well, but i think people may be stuffed from the cocktail hour :T

ooh i like the dippin dots and bubble tea ideas! we’re thinking about doing philly pretzels either for after the ceremony (it’s a 45 minute ride to the reception) or during the reception. normal price is 3 for $1, not sure how much if you buy like 200.

Ohmigosh… I am seriously considering this!! $2/serving is not bad at all, although I didn’t see how much shipping would be. Now its just a matter of logistics. I don’t know of my venue (a hotel) will be willing to serve this for me. They often have issues w/”outside” food. Anyone have any ideas??

I think the kids at my wedding would go nuts for this, hehe ( and me too!)

Dippin dots rock…I wanted them for me personally, but the price is a little steep. Plus, I could eat all 90 servings in one sitting. NOT good for the wedding dress bod!

I love dippin dots. It reminds me of when I was in college, Fi and his friends kept doing ’shots’ of dippin dots at the mall. I like how they give you cups and spoons as well.

ooooh, dippin dots. i was seriously hurt when the store closed at our local mall. we had a knock-off at the minor league team i used to work for and i had a cup almost every game [for free!]. i’d love to serve jamba juice or gelato at my wedding. i say this now but watch something else pop up and become my new favorite obsession. lol.
