Jamali Garden

March 13th, 2007 @ 12:11 pm by Mrs. Bluebell

Okay, Jamali Garden that BaghdadBride linked to in yesterday’s beehive is totally my new favorite site! Thanks BaghdadBride!!! :-D

My new plans now that I’ve found this glorious treasure trove (yes, I know I’m overexcited):

Mixed River Stones
jamali1
1 1/2in - 2 1/4in size, 5 1/2lb bag. - $6.99 for one bag, or $40 for 8 bags
Maybe put one on each napkin? Or scatter around the centerpieces?

Baskets of some sort:
jamali2
set of 3 for $6.50

For (dun dun dunnnn) bathroom baskets? Not sure if we’re having them yet, but we also wanted baskets to put maps of the area in, etc, when people arrive at their hosted lodgings (multiple houses we’re renting out for most of our guests from other parts of my family).

And a few things we probably won’t get but I love anyway:

Hammered Copper Bowls
jamali3
$3.99 - $13.99 depending on size

Rectangular Ceramic Vases
jamali4
$12, or 12 for $108

Mini Lanterns
jamali5
$2.50 each, temporarily out of stock

Any one of these would add so much character to your wedding, and they’re all so reasonably priced!! Off to decide exactly what to buy now…. :)

we’ve featured jamali several times in the past, but i’m reminded once again just how great their prices are… esp for being based in nyc! 8O

i heart them. you should go check out the store too - it’s right in the (former?) flower district on 28th street. There’s all kinds of inspirations in the surrounding places too….

I’ve been eyeing the Jamali site for ages now, but I think I remember the shipping charges to be quite high =/ Otherwise I have been tempted to order tons of things from them!!

Not quite as fashionable, but equally inexpensive (maybe even a little more so) is http://www.save-on-crafts.com. They’ve got vases, river rocks, and all sorts of party/wedding accessories for wholesale prices.

I love that site. Except so many of their items are “out of stock” and have been like that for quite a while now (I’ve been checking back regularly). Kind of frustrating :-(.
