MOH (Maid of Honor)

March 15th, 2007 @ 8:29 am by Mrs. Plum

My sister came into town this week, so we decided to go try on the bridesmaid dress at Bridal Collections by Stella at Legacy Towne Center, where we purchased the dresses. I also decided to bring along the accessory options - the multi-strand floating pearl necklace on illusion wire and the rhinestone headband from Everyday Tiaras (thanks again Yumi!)

Tiara headband or necklace? Hmmm…..of course their hair will be actually done professionally so it will look much more polished than this….

For the MOH, we will do a matching shantung silk sash in robins egg blue…. We also picked up a couple packages of Spanx Power Panties (lol - I think that name is so funny! I know, I’m immature silly03) for the bridesmaids as well.

LOVE the color of the dress!! Your MOH looks great. FYI, if you haven’t tried on the Spanx Power Panties then let me be the first one to tell you how uncomfortable they are.

I like the half up half down with the pearls. You can wear a tiara if you want to, but you’re supposed to be the princess of the day, not them!

The dress is great. Love the necklace. But I’m not a fan of the tiara. It might be the fact that she doesn’t have her hair styled. But may I suggest either a smaller face tiara that has more height or just cute little pins in the back if you plan to do a low chignon. Good luck!

Definitely the necklace. It’s elegant and fun. I am not a fan of the headband, because I think it actually takes away from the dimensions of your MOH’s face, while her features go nicely with the necklace. Love the dress!!!

What an elegant gown! I say definately a necklace. With the dark brown, a nice sparkly necklace will really pop.

i like the pearls a lot..
i think the BMs would look great with a low chignon(your sister looked nice w/ her hair up) or half-up (teased on top, with curls flowing in the back)

the BM dresses look so nice!!

Love the dress! My bridesmaids are wearing a very similar dark chocolate color. I’m having the hardest time finding dark brown shoes. If you find any, please let me know!

The picture of the bride is from Inside Weddings Magazine, Spring 2005. I have a freaky memory. :P

I love the pearls with the dress! Tiara/headband says bride to me, anyway. Stick with the necklace :)
