Teach/Coach @ private schools in LA Engagement Date: March 31, 2006 Wedding Date: November 3, 2007 Venue: Radisson Hotel About Me: I'm a bookkeeper who failed high school algebra. I'm currently living in Los Angeles, literally a street over from where I grew up with Mr. Kiwi, my honey of three years. We have a jumbo mini-dachshund (seriously, he's huuuuge), and we're planning an autumn themed wedding on a shoestring, paid for by ourselves. The wedding date is my late grandma's birthday, I needed her there somehow, and that seemed like the best way for us. I can't believe I'm a Bee! I couldn't be more proud!

Mr. Kiwi’s Band Is Back

March 15th, 2007 @ 2:57 pm by Mrs. Kiwi

Hey guys! Mr. Kiwi’s wedding band is back in. Why do I say “back” in? Well, despite the many times we sized his finger with various sizers, it was a little snug when it arrived.

Even though Mr. Kiwi tried to tell me he LIKES wearing it directly under the middle knuckle and says, “Aren’t they supposed to fit like this? My nail isn’t turning blue…” I thought we should just get it resized. Luckily for us, it only needed sizing up a 1/4″- which they do for free, since it doesn’t have to be remade.

Here is the ring:

Even though I had heard this before, if the ring had a width wider than 8mm (Mr. Kiwi’s is 8mm) make sure you size up at least a quarter more than what he usually wears. The wider the ring, the chances of needing a bigger size.

So, just try to remember that if your fiance has a higher mm sized ring coming! :)

Hi Tea! I got refunded by the ring company a day after the whole skirmish happened. And last time I checked, UPS was refunding the ring co. The funny thing is, the UPS label info online said, “Item missing, will notify the customer.” DUH. I notified THEM. Oh well, the new band is perfect.

yo. I am getting married soon and I have tried convincing my GF that I dont need a wedding band but i think she will force it upon me. If I have to wear one I want a really rough and industrial style to it. During your searches did you come across a designer or a store that specialized in this? Thanks for the info

Hey Richie, I think you’re thinking more along the lines of titanium or tungsten. I found Mr. Kiwi’s band at http://www.titaniumera.com. There are also tungsten ones on http://www.e-weddingband.com, too! Good luck!
