I got home from work yesterday to see a HUGEEE box waiting for me. I completely forgot that I was still expecting a package, so I just left it in the hallway until my brother asked me what it was - apparently it was addressed to me.

I opened the box, which was filled to the brim with packing peanuts, and fished out a small box (well, small compared to the huge box it was shipped in). If you remember, I ordered this cake serving set from a website called Sleek Spaces for a great price and with free shipping. Although it took a while for them to arrive (well, what can you expect when there’s free shipping?), they were absolutely PERFECT!

It was deceptively heavy!

Wow - it’s slowly becoming “real”

But it still hasn’t kicked in 100% yet that I’m really getting married soon!

Very pretty.

We had a short tolerance for some of the “extra” to-do items as the wedding got closer and just used the hotel’s cake knife and server and champage glasses. Brides: If this is not a high priority to you personally, skip it. One less thing to worry about, and not a single person noticed what gadgets we used to eat/drink/serve/cut. These are things easily forgotten or broken, so don’t sweat it!
