Man, who knew getting married would require so many different things to think about! And who knew I would be publicly blogging about such a topic?? Ahahaha. *embawassed*
So yeahhh… Anybody care to explain their choice? To be honest, I didn’t even know what exactly a Bikini or Brazilian wax exactly entailed until recently… while doing a google search I came across this article which claims that waxing makes sex better. Hmm… Interesting. As for my choice… I will have to keep this one to myself.

miss peach you crack me up! i’m oddly very hairless - i don’t even shave my legs or armpits. 
Not to mention the discomfort when it starts to grow back, Mrs. Butterfly! Although I, too, have always been curious…
Ok maybe this is t.m.i but…Brazilians don’t hurt as much as you would think. I think its worse just anticipation of it that makes it worse. If you can stand a normal bikini the Brazilian isn’t much worse. One recommendation for first timers a few months before the big day and then again about a 3 to 4 days before the big night. Things are a little tender and the extra ummm…friction will not be pleasant. But I swear to you its worth the pain!

I got the “big B” once. oh. my. god. And then, after the initial agony, I was still sore for DAYS.
Yeah, AFTER the swelling went down, it was very nice … and I didn’t have any trouble with bumps or anything when it grew back… but was it worth that !?! Not when you are an Italian girl like me. I can wax my eyebrows without flinching, but this was something else altogether. From now on, I trim- period. I’d probably shave, but, my stubble hurts too much.
i used to bikini wax until it got too expensive. then i started at-home waxing and that was traumatizing. so now i just shave and use tend skin for the razor bumps.
if you’re thinking about getting a brazilian, then get a tube of no-scream cream and take a painkiller half hour before you go. also, some waxers don’t completely get the hair off so you’ll need to do touchups with a tweezer (ouch). i’ve tried the strips and hard wax, and i think hard waxing is the better of the two (she used gigi brazilian hard wax). sugaring is also supposed to be better than the strips. but yeah, i think it does feel better.
I’ve found that the more often I get Brazilians the less they hurt. But I’ve never experienced pain when the hair was growing back! Ouch!
Gawd!! Mrs Bee allowed this?? It hurts like hell. I have heard white man tell me that one reason they have a fantasy with Asian women is that they don’t have much hair, so I guess you fit that profile Mrs. Bee! I would get a Brazillian, but I won’t bleach my anus like in the porn movies.
i don’t know why it would make sex better. pubic hair exists to trap moisture..
I personally dont think they hurt that much. If you go regularly it hurts less because the hairs arent as thick. I go about every 4 weeks. As for the article, I dont think J Sister’s is all that. There are plenty of other places in the city that are just as nice, if not nicer, and charge less. Oh, and it does make sex way better. More so for him than her but is better for both.
I had laser (brazilian style). It’s SO worth the money!!! I could never torture myself w/ brazilian wax every several weeks. I’m permanent now.
Just a random thought, but if you and the hubby are first timers and haven’t (I’m just guessing) spent a lot time hanging out down there, maybe giving him an expectation of hairlessness is not the best idea because it is a !@$#% to keep up!
At any rate, you can shave your bikini line and then apply (believe it or not) roll-on deodorant to the area to prevent irritation and ingrowns. For me, roll-on deodorant works better than any of the commercial stuff; my hair stylist told me that it’s an old stripper trick.
If you want to use a depilatory, I prefer Veet for Dry Skin, which comes with a little plastic thing to help you take off the hair. I use it *everywhere*, which creates a Brazilian effect.
Alternately, you can just trim with small scissors or a beard trimmer.
As far as *why*, I have found, and friends have confirmed, that it makes sex better because of increased sensitivity. I also appreciate it when FI does his own manscaping (with a razor) because it makes oral activity there more enjoyable for me.
Brazilian doesn’ really hurt THAT much, take painkiller about half an hour before ( 2 pills) and you are good to go. I had the “sugaring” done at Shobha ( in NYC) and the girl was wonderful. It took a total of maybe 10 minutes to get it all off with another 10 minutes to get rid of last stubbor hair ( I am not too too hairy, would say an average).
As for whether the sex was better, well, I’ve been with my bf for 6 yrs, so it definitely had the “something new and fun” effect. I think the oral aspect was definitely better.
I don’t do it regularly because it’s just way too much hassle to get it done every 5-6 weeks but like to do it every so often.
It is painful, but if you go to the right person, you can be out of there in 10 minutes for a Brazilian if you go regularly (about every 4-5 weeks). And it makes sex way better - increased sensitivity.
Laser. Start early.

Take two Aspirin 30mins before the wax session and you’ll be right it takes the edge off the pain i have a low tolerance for pain two Aspirins a half hour before hand and i was fine.
