Hi everyone!

Some of you have been commenting twice when your comments don’t appear right away. They’re actually caught in moderation and we have to manually approve them - which we do at regular intervals throughout the day. We haven’t quite figured out why certain comments go into the moderation queue, other than when they includes links (which is the #1 indicator of spam), but unfortunately it’s a necessary measure to protect the site.

According to akismet, the spam filter program we use, 95% of all comments are spam! Without our filter, the vast majority of comments you’d see on weddingbee would be about a variety of very unsavory topics.

So we apologize for any inconvenience, but if your comment doesn’t appear right away, it’s most likely being held in moderation and we’ll approve it sometime that day. But please feel free to drop me a line at bee@weddingbee.com if you have any problems or you don’t see it appear it all. Thanks!
