A Bit of Luck

March 19th, 2007 @ 3:10 pm by Mrs. Plum

I’m not really superstitious or one to believe in “luck”, but I may just use this lucky penny on the wedding day - if not just for picture-taking purposes.

Don’t worry - I’m not crazy. I did not PAY for this - the bridal salon gave it to me for free when I purchased my reception gown. happy05

Who would actually PAY more than 1 cent to get a penny with some lace and ribbon tied to it with a cheesy poem?

I suppose that’s the wedding industry for you - they convince you that you really NEED all of this lol. silly05

how is that possibly worth more than $0.01? with the bows and the angels and lace and flowers and horrific poem — my eyes! my eyes!

Yeah that is awful. I thought the wedding tradition was a lucky silver six pence, not a dang ol’ penny.

i think it’s a “good” PR move on the wedding salon’s part.
even if you don’t like it or think it’s cheezy, you’ll feel good about receiving it.
