Shower Favors

March 19th, 2007 @ 4:46 pm by Mrs. Lily

At my bridal shower there were the cutest, yummiest favors: white chocolate covered oreos with our initials on them. Granted, I like white chocolate and I luv oreos, so you do the math. Somehow I ended up with about 5 favors and let me tell you, they didn’t last long. They are all currently in my tummy. The favors were from FavorZ — they specialize in chocolate covered oreos with a million+ designs. Here are mine:

Here’s the same design from their Web site:

According to the Web site, these are $3.25 a piece. Ouch, that’s a little expensive and I really can’t believe they spent so much. I will say though that I definately appreciated the extra touch and they tasted so good I am tempted to spend $15 to order myself 4 more…

i’m planning on doing cookie favors for my best friend’s bridal shower all tucked into a plastic bucket.

okay, i just checked the nabisco website…they’re listed [white fudge] but i haven’t seen them in stores for a while. ha, maybe that’s a good thing.

YUM and a great idea! I wonder if they’re easy to DIY?

And it looks like the process is the same as covering a pretzel, which I know Miss Strawberry blogged about a while back. :-)

What a sweet and delicious gesture for your shower!

A girlfriend gave me chocolate covered fortune cookies with “love” fortunes in them and they were delicious!!! Plus I saved all the love fortunes for our scrapbook.

Can’t remember which baker made them, but google shows a million sources, plus DIY recipes. You can buy a huge box of fortune cookies CHEAP, dip them, even decorate with frosting/sprinkles, etc.

they still sell those at supermarkets and stores like target. i actually just bought some about 3 weeks ago at target. i think a box was about 3.50 which came with maybe 12 or more cookies.
