About Mr. Monkey

His and Her Registry

March 21st, 2007 @ 12:54 pm by Mr. Monkey

Chris, our first groom blogger, has officially joined weddingbee as Mr. Monkey! Icon coming soon…

~~~
Here’s a snippet of a conversation I had with my fiance this morning:
fiance when should we start our registry? i definitely want a vacuum, knives, mixer, one nice plate set
mr. monkey
i want a giraffe, a swing set, and some gummy worms
fiance
: cutting board, apron
mr. monkey: blow darts, giant bouncy balls, disco lamp
fiance: new sheets
mr. monkey: banana hammocks
fiance: comforter, tupperware
mr. monkey: robots, a tank of gasoline, firecrackers
There should really be a his and her registry.
HA HA HA… Welcome Mr. Monkey! That’s awesome!
We compromised– we registered for matching DDR dance pads, a robot vacuum cleaner, a pirate shower curtain set… cookie cutters SHAPED like zoo animals…
Doesn’t everyone have robots on their registry? Or is it only the science fiction geeks like Mr Pencils and me? ;) However, I draw the line at banana hammocks.
Welcome, Mr Monkey! You’re cracking me up already :-D
Unfortunately (for Mr Blueberry) we’re not registered anywhere with too much fun stuff, but our B3 registry nonetheless contains a talking toilet lotion dispenser, glow-in-the-dark sheets, and a Marvin Gaye CD :-D
Welcome Mr Monkey.
We actually do a have a his and hers registry. He has a registry that he set up at Sears. It has all sorts of tools and gadgets on it and I have a registry at Macy’s with all the kitchen and bath items. Not to say that I don’t have a couple fun items at Sears and he also has a few items at Macy’s. But it helps him keep involved and feel he has his own special presents too.
Welcome Mr. Monkey!! Don’t let Mr. Kiwi see this, or he’s going to start requesting the slingshot again. :)
I wish we had thought about registering for robots! I love retro robots and my hubby really wants a robo sapiens. Your posts are hilarious and I always share them with my hubby. If you are ever out in PNW, I might be persuaded to give you a firecracker from my stash as a wedding present. :)
I hope your posts grow from these stereotypical “groom” jokes into some real, honest male opinions on wedding planning. I personally would find that more worthwhile! Looking forward to hearing more from you.
