The Beginnings of a Ring Pillow

March 26th, 2007 @ 8:29 am by Mrs. Plum

Yesterday, I went shopping in search of my wedding details… I ended up at JoAnn’s and spent over an hour going up and down all the aisles of crafty goodness. Somehow I ended up in the fabric section looking at the “bargain priced” fabrics, and something in blue and brown caught my eye! (Ever since I started planning ANYTHING in my wedding colors somehow manages to pull me in to give it a second look - lol can we say “obsessed” much?)

Luckily for me, they had just enough for me to make a pillow (and have some left over) - less than a yard - I felt so lucky! happy08

So now, I’m going to have to figure out how to make it, but I don’t think it’ll be too hard - I’m just going to put a satin dark chocolate ribbon around it and tie it into a bow in the center…

to be continued….

Very pretty.

Ladies, another source of fabric for these types of accessories (ring pillow, flower girl basket, garter, etc.) — the fabric cut from newly hemmed dresses. Matches perfectly and it’s 100% free.

That’s very cute! Maybe you can use the pattern on your invitation and cake as well?

OH MY GOODNESS! I HAVE A TWIN!!!! This is MY wedding pattern. Much like you, I saw this fabric at JoAnne’s and fell in love with it! I’m actually doing my invitations, and lots of accessories with it! I had an invitation making party last weekend where friends and family joined to help me wrap boxes in expresso brown dupioni silk, and i’m inserting this pattern on the inside of the box! Great minds DO think a lot. Check out my website at http://www.TheWeddingOfLandrumAndJosef.com. If you send me an email, through the contact me page on our site, I’ll send you pictures of the stuff that I have done with it. Also, if you want more of the fabric there is a place where you can order more of it in Dallas (but I believe they have a website if you are not local)! It’s not as cheap as JoAnne’s ($14-15 p/yard), and unlike JoAnne’s there are no coupons….Good Luck!
