About Mrs. Blueberry

Hair

March 27th, 2007 @ 1:22 pm by Mrs. Blueberry

When I made my post about hair care, several other brides mentioned that they, too have fine hair. Even though my hair is really fine, luckily I do have a lot of it. And during the warmer months, it’ll usually hold a curl fairly well (with enough hairspray, of course!). So I’m thinking I want to do a half up hairstyle; something like this retro style, only with sideswept bangs:

I’ve got a lot of better pictures on my home computer, but right now I’m at the library so this pic will have to do for now.

Hopefully next weekend in Kansas City I’ll be able to squeeze in a hair trial with my longtime stylist. smiley105

What do you think? Has anybody else with fine hair done a half-up style?

I’m off to have my 2nd hair trial today… but this time with my extensions :) I’m having my hair 1/2-up… and I too have fine hair and lots of it! It worked fine with my normal hair, but I want more body so I’m adding the extensions, since the sides looked a bit too flat last time.

I have fine hair, too. Even with all the tricks, there is only so much we can do. If you have some subtle layers cut into your hair, that will help curls display better, as the curls sort of slide down to the bottom and you’ll have different lengths for them to slide down to. Agree 100% re the hairspray, and plan for a few touch-ups throughout the day (good use of that toiletry basket in the restroom). I ignored the stylist’s guidance to not wash my hair the day-of; it just gets limp if it’s not squeaky clean, and I need that clean-scalp feeling and clean smell. : )

P.S. I think a recent posting revealed most of us were not crazy about the loose tendril.
