I Do Originals

March 27th, 2007 @ 12:58 pm by Mrs. Kiwi

I love things with my name on it. Ever since I was a little kid I wanted something to represent me. I coveted those golden labels to stick inside your books, and collected the address labels we got for free from the WWF after donating. The first item of business after moving in together? Make custom labels with our names on them. They were promptly lost, but whatever.

My point is, this wedding is my chance to personalize something perfectly. Nowadays (did I JUST say that?), monograms are a theme to itself, like on a cake:

So, after having Miss Bluebell design our monogram, I am eager to use it all over the place. SO excited about that. Before she made it for us, I was searching for a place that would do a design for us. I came upon I Do Originals, and was in awe. They have 92 ready made options, which I assume were made custom for another couple originally. You can choose one monogram hi-res jpeg for $3.00, 3 for $8.00, or 5 for $12.00. If none of the options appeal to you, you can choose custom, where you pay $15.00 for 5 custom jpeg images.

Here are some examples:

There are so many more options available, so check ‘em out, they’re pretty cool!

I’m also obsessed with using my monogram EVERYWHERE! I actually used Kristin from I Do Originals to create 5 custom monograms for me and I am so happy with the way they turned out. I gave her some basic ideas of what I was looking for and she sent me 5 AMAZING monograms that were better than what I had ever imagined! The hardest part was choosing which one I liked the best! I’m also having her paint my monogram on an aisle runner and table runner. She’s great and has excellent customer service- one of my favorite vendors so far!

I used I Do Originals for my monogram and Kristin did a wonderful job. Check out my blog, Magnolias, Marriage and Manhattan to see the final product.

I love, love, love Kristin! She did my monograms (custom, and she gave me a 6th for free!) I sent her some pics to get an idea of what I wanted and she took off from there. See my knot bio (moniz_j) for the great crest that she did. I’m using that one for favor tags. I will using another one for invites and Kristin was great enough to send me the graphic so that they would all flow together. Highly recommended!
