Our flower girl is Mr. Snow Pea’s 4 year old niece. She’s really spunky and silly. Although I could’ve bought a dress, I decided to ask Mr. Snow Pea’s mother to sew it. Her own grandmother was a Polish immigrant and had to sew for a living, so she picked it up as a hobby when she was a child. I knew it would be something she would enjoy doing for her grand daughter. I can also understand how hard it must be to be Mother of the Groom and stand idly by while her super meticulous future daughter in law (moi) plans everything! So I thought this could be her project.
Most flower girl dresses are pretty similar. I am buying the same fabric for her dress as my wedding gown. The top will be modified to look similar to my dress, but in a kiddy version. The flower girl has very long legs and looks adorable in these high waisted dresses. (no flowers in front though)

Should we also do a colored sash in champagne like the bridesmaids’ dresses?
Jen Klair Kids had some beautiful gowns, but they are pricey. They even have a Victorian inspired flower girl dress with lace sleeves. Ohhh la la.

I can’t wait to see Mr. Snow Pea’s mom’s rendition of this dress. Your flower girl will look so cute in it, especially since it will resemble your wedding dress.
