We are having not one, but TWO weddings and TWO receptions in one weekend - American-style and Vietnamese-style - in Dallas, Texas, where I was born and raised!

Friday

full menu and hors d’ouevres tasting at Marie Gabrielle

paper guillotine arrives

toasting flutes are supposedly finally arriving

finalizing linens

attempt to start working on the ring pillow

make decision about all the lighting elements and combinations thereof

Saturday

hair trial

makeup trials with 2 different artists

second gown fitting (I hope I can still fit into it after the menu tasting on Friday! silly012)

opening up second joint account with the FI

test drive cars to make final decision on new car! (yay)

choose flowers for wedding portrait bouquet

pics and posts to come!

I love the phrase “hair trial” — It always makes me want to declare the ‘do as “guilty” or “not guilty.”

At the end of the day Saturday you forgot: take hot bath, have FI massage my feet, enjoy champagne & chocolates, and go to bed early.

Seriously, your 2-day list is pretty ambitious. Cut yourself a break. The car project (perhaps the only task on the list that FI will enjoy) could take up half a day and an investment like that is nothing to be rushed.
