i LOVE those hanging candles! are those ribbons glued on the votives? I’ve been having a hard time looking for hanging votives for my branches for my centerpieces, and that seems like a great idea!

We met with them for our wedding. While I knew they would do an awesome job, I wasn’t about to pay them 5x more than what other florists were quoting. I definitely incorporated their ideas into my wedding though. =P

Square Root Designs – BAIT-AND-SWITCH!!!!!!!!

BEWARE!!!!!!!!!! I used them for my wedding a few weeks ago and they cut so many corners to make a buck that I would NEVER recommend them to anyone again.

A) I specifically mentioned from day one I did not want topiaries for my centerpieces. Alex said he would make them more oval shaped but charge me more for that. I was fine with it. Wedding day, what do I get but topearies, but am paying for oval shaped arrangements???
B) I specifically ordered a high gloss round dance floor from day-one I know that was what I wanted. Day of wedding, square white dancefloor I could have rented for $500 rather than $2500.
C) I paid for a full ballroom draped, what I got when I split the ballroom into two rooms was ¾ draped ballroom. I never got a refund for the entire ballroom being draped, nor did they bother to drape the entire room as discussed.
D) I specifically asked for thick bunch of roses in the garlands that I wanted for my ceremony (Indian). Day of, I get white orchids that are only slightly thicker than a regular single strand lei. Oh wait, he added a few shiny rhinestones to make up for the difference. I got single strand leis from La tulipe for $20 each and paid $130 for maybe a double strand from SQ. Nothing what I wanted.
E) I specifically asked for aisle petals in peach which other florist like Neise and White Lilac cover in a thick design over the aisle. I got barely there strands in white.
F) I ordered 8 large arrangements. I am still waiting for confirmation from my photographer that they were actually there. My lighting person could not confirm seeing them and I have not seen them in the pictures I have so far

Besides that I was overcharged by their assistant Sarah who at one point asked me to walk her through how to do the calculations on the invoice. Are you kidding me???

Please save yourself the trouble and money. Weddings are a onetime thing, do you really want to risk having things switched out on you’re the day of your wedding?????

Sarah, Square Root Designs

Unfortunately, this post is untrue and slander. We treat every client’s wedding day as it was our own. We worked with Nimisha for months and months, revising proposals with her constant design changes, re budgeting to give her what she wanted for the money that she had and reviewing.

Bait and Switch? This claim is untrue and offensive. I won’t go into each detail, but just as an example, I can address the dance floor. Nimisha had a 24 X 24 white high gloss dance floor. At no time, did our proposal say Round, as a 24 X 24 is Square. This was a high gloss seamless dance floor, which lends to it being more costly than a generic vinyl white dance floor. If a bride mentions that she likes something, it doesn’t mean that it has been decided. When you meet with a designer, you discuss many ideas, so it is important to be clear and check the details. We love questions, because we want your wedding day to be exactly as you envision it (and more!).

As we do for all clients, we show the sample of their most expensive centerpiece. Nimisha saw hers and loved it. We as well, are waiting for her beautiful wedding images.

We are truly saddened that she feels that she needs to make posts such as these. For her one complaint, I have received 6 letters of praise for events during the same month. We went above and beyond for her, even changing the color scheme of the flowers in the hotel where she was married , to match her wedding colors and style!!

In my defense, I also feel obligated to mention that I have never ever received the mean, attacking emails from a client that she has sent me. She has attacked me personally and professionally, which surprises me since I felt that she was an educated woman with lovely parents.

So, for all of your brides to be out there, please remember that there are negative people in this world and to not always believe what you read. Nimisha should be enjoying her wedded bliss & her honeymoon. Unfortunately, she has chosen to spend her time angry, making negative posts, and festering over imaginary issues.

Happy wedding planning to you!! May it be filled with love and happiness!
