Let Me Tell Ya…

March 30th, 2007 @ 10:26 am by Mrs. Kiwi

Since you guys think I’m hella cool haha, and want to know more… cool

Six Weird Things About Me:

1.) My first and last names are colors - also the character of a children’s series. In fact, the character even has the same MIDDLE name. Spooky.

2.) I used to eat dirt - a lot. And yes, I liked it. I was a vegetarian, I needed MINERALS, man.

3.) I can touch my tongue to my nose, sometimes it makes my jaw hurt. Despite what you may think, no, it isn’t attractive. laughin010

4.) I had cataracts in both eyes at 19/20 years old. I had to wear the super cool black mega sunglasses. And I mean that sarcastically.

5.) I had a tail. Just kidding! I only have one dimple. It’s in my right cheek and the bane of my existence.

6.) My high school nickname (not chosen by me) was “Knobs”. Guess what that means. censore At least they were more creative than using “Jugs”. Like Miss Strawberry, I was also teased in junior high for being flatchested. I guess they forget easily.

That’s Kiwi in a nutshell!

Mrs. Spider says:

omgosh. must.know.your.name!!

3.
Miss Kiwi says:

Miss Bluebell, I totally stopped years ago. Although I ate charcoal, too! Honestly, I have NO idea why I did it.

4.
shellby says:

“Hella”

Nor Cal all the way…

5.
Miss Kiwi says:

Shelby, luckily I’m a So Cal girl, and the “hella” is something I jokingly picked up years ago while staying with an old BF. Now it’s like, my go-to word. Does that make me hella lame?

And Mrs. Spider- I’ll just say my first name is Amber. :) Anyone know what I’m talking about?

6.
Miss Kiwi says:

I’d also like to say I don’t know why I said “Luckily” right there. I

sm says:

I only have one dimple too! Mine’s nott even a legit cheek dimple…it’s more like a mouth/lower cheek dimple.

Why is it the bain of your existence?

9.
Miss Kiwi says:

sm, I used to love my dimple, and would look at it in the mirror all the time (I was a kid). Then kids made fun of me for it. Why- it’s just a freakin’ dimple, right? Well, ALSO on my right side- and I RARELY bring this up- my ear is pixied. I mean it’s pointed like an elf. Only one ear. The other one is normal. So, they chose to make fun of my non-matching sides. I know people usually don’t have exact matching sides, but this was drastically so. I hate my ear, and am dreading taking pictures from that side.

Wouldn’t that be great if you made those your wedding colors??

11.
Mrs. Spider says:

mee!! says:

i used to eat: chalk, crayons, erasers, paper, play-doh, packing peanuts, silly putty, dirt, staples, gravel, any jewelry i was currently wearing…i never actually swallowed any of it, i just would chew it up and spit it out. weird. and disgusting, i know. every once in a while i still get the urge to chew up a nice piece of chalk (but i don’t)…it’s called pica, it’s weird, but oh well. FI thinks it’s funny.

15.
Tea says:

oooh, i just figured it out! i loved that series!

16.
Miss Kiwi says:

Mee!!!: I also ate chalk! And leaves, erasers (especially the sanrio ones, dunno why), chapsticks, cardboard, and gnawed on all sorts of wood items (chair/table legs). Damn pica. :) I hear it gets worse with pregnancy?

And good job to all who figured out my name!! I swear, I came first, not the book!

17.
Mrs. Spider says:

Mrs. Bee - I was doing EXACTLY those kinds of searches until Miss Kiwi gave up her first name. Google found it immediately after that. My sleuthing did not uncover the character’s middle name though. haha… some mystery remains.

18.
Naseem says:

After reading this I too had to join in the fun of finding Ms. Kiwi’s name! Cuuute!

19.
Mrs. Bee says:

puhahaha that’s just like ou mrs spider. and miss kiwi - sanrio erasers smelled the best! i’d inhale the scent but never chomped down on one. :)

lizabunnie says:

Just an FYI, pica (eating dirt, chalk, earth) is usually a sign of iron deficiency. ..
