Thanks everyone for voting on my dresses yesterday! I tallied the votes, consulted with Othello, and have reached the following decisions:

First shower (4 days away!):

For Easter:

(Jill, I can take the straps in myself. No need to find time to go to the tailor!). I’ll wear it with my black strappy sandals and a black crocheted shrug sweater to up the modesty factor.

2nd shower:

This is one of my favorite dresses, and I think the people at that shower (mostly friends, and my relatives) will appreciate it. I decided not to wear it to Amber’s wedding ’cause it might be a bit ‘loud’ for that.

Grandma’s birthday:

I really appreciate your all’s comments on this dress–you’re right; it’s basic yet nice, and won’t give dear old Grandma a heart attack.

Amber’s wedding:

This is the only one where I went with my gut rather than your all’s suggestions. The dress is sorta swishy and I think it’ll be fun to dance in. Plus, it wasn’t voted as the favorite elsewhere and I really wanted to wear it!

Rehearsal:

I think I’ll dye the sash blue, maybe wear it with my Lolas. Plus, then I can wear the earrings that Miss Violet made me!

Day-after brunch:
Uh-oh! Except for the black and white, and the all black, I’ll have worn these dresses already! I’ll probably wear the blue floral (Amber’s wedding) again, since there won’t be much overlap between people at the two events.
