I had almost completely curbed my online shopping habit for anything other than real necessities, and then wedding planning happened. While searching for the best deals, it’s *so* hard to resist the random other stuff you come across. Anyway, I was successful in resisting and only bought things that were within my wedding budget as “miscellaneous details.”

Buy #1:

I wanted to honor deceased loved ones in a quiet way. While, the lit candles, reserved chair, etc. work for some, it’s still not subtle enough for me and Mr. Lime. I want to honor the Mr. Lime’s grandmother, who pretty much raised him, my grandfather who passed away not too long ago and with whom I was pretty close despite a gap of two generations and thousands of miles, and my father. I’ve seen bouquet locket images out there, so I found the above earrings to somehow integrate into my bouquet. There are four slots for photos, so I’ll have one extra. While searching for lockets, my treasure troves were Etsy, eBay, and Red Envelope.

A mosquito net to shelter my cake table, which we discovered we’d need during our site walkthrough on Sunday. Yay for big trees that give great shade, but boo to the “tree stuff” that they shed.

I didn’t look too hard for mosquito nets as I’ll be at Ikea within the next few weeks and knew that I could grab one there, if worse came to worse. I wasn’t too happy with what I found, though, as I wanted something as simple as possible. I ebayed and found the above for half the price of the Ikea one, although it ended up only slightly less after paying for shipping. Ikea’s current canopies:

The red could work with my wedding, but not for everyone’s.

Very cute leaf guys, but didn’t quite fit. The size on the above two seemed a little tight, too.

Lastly, a little too tent-like for me.
