About Mrs. Kiwi

Wedding Boo Hoos

April 4th, 2007 @ 1:15 pm by Mrs. Kiwi

Last night I was watching the finale to Bam’s Unholy Union. As with all wedding things, I got hooked on the show not too long ago. As I watched Bam hug his “Jackass” buddy Ryan Dunn, I got teary. Me, crying at an MTV reality show? Good lord. Mr. Kiwi looked over at me and said, “Are you CRYING?!” Hiding my eyes, I said “No, I just have to sneeze.”

Later that night, as we started falling asleep, I asked him if I could take our dog Woofie into my hotel room the night before the wedding, and he said no. When I tried (tearfully, again) to explain how much I’ll be missing Woofie, he brushed it off as me being silly. As he fell asleep I was lying there, thinking, “Why the hell am I so frickin’ weepy today?”

Well ladies, it’s happened. I am now officially an over-emotional bride. On some of the other boards I frequent, I laughed at the brides who cried when seeing other weddings. I thought it was a bunch of crap. What kind of girl cries at something stupid like that? Yeah… I guess it’s me. bummed01 After trying on wedding dresses with my eyes completely dry, and planning out the big day dry-eyed, I figured I was a cold, hard bride-to-be.

Until I cried at Bam Margera’s wedding. For the love of Mike, I am a sap.

While I know wedding planning is a stressful and sentimental time, I never expected to be hit with the wedding bell blues. Have you found yourself a little more emotional now?

I teared up in the car today when I heard Tim McGraw’s “My Little Girl.” Glad no one was with me!

yes most definitely - more emotional. Most bizarre times, I’ll be working literally doing my crunches, and I’ll picture my dad walking me down the aisle and giving me away and I start tearing … AT THE GYM!!! crazy. I missed the ending to Bam’s unholy union, I’ll have to catch the rerun.

Hahaha I’m a total sap. I do the random crying thing allll the time, even though I too used to think those people who did that were dumb! Hehe oh well.

Thank God I am not alone! The wedding was really pretty and I was so happy to see that Bam was being “normal” he even looked nervous.

I didn’t see it.. But I cried at the demo my videographer sent me. I don’t even know those people… yet I cried at their video. I booked the guy figuring that if he could make me cry… he’s good ;)

I am the biggest hard-ass ever normally…don’t cry at movies or basically anything besides funerals.

So it was quite to my surprise when I went to my first wedding of a friend and was almost hysterical throughout it. Seriously. And every friends’ weddings since (for some reason it doesn’t happen at relatives’ weddings).

My fi makes fun of me so bad for this.

I cry EVERY single time that Canon in D is played, at any wedding, on the radio, etc. The song makes me so emotional. It’s what I will walk down the aisle to in November!!

Oooh! Oooh! What did you guys think of the venue where his wedding was held — the Loews Philadelphia? Did it wind up looking nice? That’s where I’m getting married… but I can’t bring myself to watch the show, so I’m glad I have found some other people who have seen it. One of the days I was there was the day of his wedding so I was walking around the ballroom, but I thought a lot of it looked pretty ugly (all black and those hideous antler centerpieces). If I knew last night was the actual wedding itself I would have watched!

yep, totally happening to me too. can’t understand it because i’m emotional but not really a crier. but i think i’ve teared up at all the places mentioned above, including the gym. i said to my mom yesterday that i think my body has been taken over by someone else’s brain. i feel so unlike myself! she said, ok, drive carefully bc now i’m worried about you :P

Julie, I thought it was gorgeous. I told Mr. Kiwi that it looked awesome. Lucky!!!

I’m the same way! Everytime I watch something wedding related or hear a sappy song on the radio I start crying. I was watching A Wedding Story a month after my fiance proposed and I lost it when they showed a clip of the groom popping the question. My fiance started laughing and couldn’t believe that I was crying over a proposal on television.

I started crying when I heard the theme from “The Golden Girls” because it got me thinking of how great my BMs are! Yikes.

I was just commenting on how emotional I have become! Case and point - I was watching Oprah today and there were troops coming home from Iraq and they saw their families for the first time in 7 months. I was practically bawling. My mom laughed at me a lot. Sigh! Power to the weepy brides!

I definitely can relate and even my fiance is getting emotional! We watched Father of the Bride last night and he got teary as the music started for the bride to walk down the aisle with her dad! He said he is SO going to cry when he sees me and I will know because he will be laughing at himself. :-)

hormones are funny, funny things. i cry during movie trailers sometimes - for the lake house and the notebook. so embarassing because i was in the movie theatres and had to wipe away my tears. an old college roommate told me that she and her mom cry reading greeting cards in CVS. omg. it’s fun to be a girl :)

Miss Plum says:

haha the first time i ever cried at anyones wedding was a few months ago - I guess being engaged and almost about to be married yourself brings on the emotions!

i cried last weekend watching father of the bride and I NEVER cry during that movie!!! I was so shocked! :-p
