About Mrs. Strawberry

I’m convinced she sold her soul to the devil for an unlimited supply of creative ideas. I’m on to you Martha, I’m on to you!!! Look at this cute idea for an inexpensive and personal wedding favor:

stamp

Shortbread cookies that have been imprinted with a simple rubber stamp! You can use ready made stamps from your local craft store, or go the custom route of having a rubber stamp made with your monogram or wedding motif. Spend the weekend with your bridesmaids making cookies and voila! (via msweddings magazine)

Did you see the one in her Weddings magazine a few months back where they put royal icing on the cookie, then stamped it with food coloring? I’m still thinking about that…

am I missing something…why wouldn’t the letters be imprinted instead of bubbled? or backwards…

I don’t get it either. It looks like some of the images are raised - like it is embossed. How can you stamp and have it raised? Stamp BEFORE it’s baked?!

Am I missing something? Isn’t the stamp just of that of the negative image? So if you imprint the stamp on paper, what you see is ink in all places but your initials.

i picked up this issue and noticed these too…

for the bird, she used a cookie stamp which was made for this purpose. and for the monogram, she ordered it recessed instead of the normal way.

she also recommends cookies with no leaveners (like shortbread) so the design isn’t ruined.

I totally want to do that if I can find the right stamp!

I don’t think she is the one coming up with all these ideas. She just has all the creative people on her payroll. But I must say, this idea is super cute.

I have been swamped with emails about these cookie stamps… apparently Wax Works is supposed to carry them?

I sell beautiful cookie and shortbread molds and stamps but none like the ones Martha shows here.

Not this Wax Works
