Edible Arrangements

April 5th, 2007 @ 10:25 am by Mrs. Snow Pea

How’s this for a centerpiece!?! These not only look good, but taste good too. Edible arrangements has arrangements for all ocassions. These would be great for shower or brunch.

Haha, this briefly crossed my mind, mainly cuz Mr. Emerald’s sister and her husband own their own Edible Arrangements franchise!! We are considering the idea of having a HUGE fruit arrangement at the reception though, but we’ll see…

They look gorgeous but for $75 a pop…the fruit should have been much higher quality than it was. My pineapples and strawberries were sour and I was disappointed =(

I love Edible Arrangments! I first had the pleasure of seeing on of these at work (as a nurse, patients are always bringing us food- it makes it hard to lose weight for September!). A great alternative to the usual candy and sweets are these arrangments. Since then, I’ve got them for every party i’ve had, my college graduation, birthdays, and funerals. I’ve never got a bad one and people are always impressed with them. Plus, when you think about all the work that goes into them, the price isn’t bad. Hey, fruit is expensive and hard to shape. I plan on having one with cocktails and one with brunch the day after. I would recommend them to everyone!!

these are actually very simple to make. i made them for my aunt’s birthday a couple of years ago. she doesn’t really like candy sweets so she loved it. you just need some cookie cutters and a melon baller.

we get those all the time at my office. it’s a great midmorning or midday snack…except when they’re chocolate covered strawberries. yum.

Agree w/ Didi — this is the ultimate DIY. Nice for a shower, especially for the ladies that aren’t eating desserts.

A slightly easier DIY version: Fruit salads served in a watermelon that is carved out and carved into a bowl, basket with a handle, or a whale, or whatever.

My soon to be MIL made this for me at a social she had for me. It was adorable and delicious. She didn’t use chocolate, just fruit but it was very cute!
